The Industrial Garden

N.O.L.A. Venue Search - The Industrial Garden

When partying into the night at The Industrial Garden, you may feel like Alice in Wonderland, oddly transported from the bustling corner of Elysian Fields and St Claude Avenue to a magical, enclosed, outdoor oasis that becomes your own.  Your guests won’t remember how they got there, drunk and dancing under the stars.  In the morning, they may even wonder how it ever happened at all.

What

An old mechanic shop which has disintegrated into a roofless industrial wonder with trees growing through an iron top framework, The Industrial Garden has become an incredible Marigny event space for weddings and corporate functions.  The spaces: a small grassy courtyard, huge brick enclosed celebration space, and office building with indoor kitchen lend themselves perfectly to any event, while feeling like a private party in the middle of a typically busy arts district of New Orleans.

The location, sitting on the border between the Marigy and the French Quarter means every guest will have an easy time finding the Industrial Garden and if they stay the weekend, there are countless options for BnBs and hotels to choose from in easily one of the most fun and quirky neighborhoods in the city.

This venue has a max guest count of 200 for reception style events and ceremonies and 120 for fully seated meals.  There is a very usable indoor kitchen which will have your caterers jumping for joy plus the capacity for outdoor cooking and food trucks.  Parties at The Industrial Garden can go all the way ‘til 10pm, but it’s also perfect any time of day or night.

Ceremonies especially shine at this alluring outdoor space, and second lines through the Marigny are easy to Peter and Paul, Marigny Opera House, and The Art Garage.

Who

Couples who are attracted to The Industrial Garden are not faint of heart as there is no rain plan or tenting at this unique outdoor venue.  The space is rustic, but has ample power (an outlet every 6ft) since it used to be an auto shop so even large band set-ups are accommodated.  The indoor conference rooms are usable for dress changes or hiding pre-ceremony, but are not recommended for rain plans.  Couples love that they can bring their guests to a place they’d never get to go to otherwise.  It’s a BYO everything venue, so it’s most suitable for those who want to choose their own caterer, bar, furniture, planner (required), and well… everything!
